Los Angeles: With the capture of LAPD's fourth Top-10 Most Wanted gang member Police Chief William Bratton announced today the name of the next gang member to be added to the list.
Dion Durell Hayes, 25, is a member of the Swan's a blood street gang in South Los Angeles. An arrest warrant for murder was issued for him after he was implicated in the July 5, 2005, shooting death of Andre Williams. Durell and another man chased Williams down an alley and shot him.
"Hayes has prior Assault charges and was convicted of a second-degree assault for a homicide in Seattle, in 2000, said Detective John Radtke, South Bureau Criminal/Gang Homicide Group. Detectives have been trying to find Durell but have been unsuccessful. It is our hope that by releasing his photograph today someone might know his whereabouts."
Hayes is 5'7", with black hair and brown eyes.
The City Council has authorized up to $50,000 as a reward for information that leads to the capture of any of the Top-10 Most Wanted Gang Members. The LAPD’s toll free-number is 1-877-LAWFULL (1-877-529-3855)
A photograph Hayes is available on LAPDonline.org
Where are the blog posts regarding the police-instigated riots at the pro-immigration rally?
Videos don't lie. Attacking news reporters makes things worse. I hope you're all fired. Your web site is misleading, and untrue. Most admired police force? No. Most talked about, due to your ungodly number of 'incidents' - that somehow go unseen by the media.
LAPD in movies? Have you noticed that most of those jokes are against LAPDs brutality tactics?
Heh. You guys make me sick.
Just keep in mind when you go to sleep tonight, that we are the ones that give you a paycheck. WE pay the taxes.
I am disappointed in the LAPD.

Nyx - "Videos don't lie." Have you ever heard of editing? Videos can be manipulated to present a distorted view of what transpired. If the police give you a lawful order to disperse - whether you're a news anchor or a weekend revolutionay - you must obey. The agitators were given their chance but they chose to hurl projectiles. Remember: two sides to every story... despite what the TV tells you.

Dear LAPD officers. I feel sorry for you. Chief Bratton is a Coward. He should return to New York and remove his uniform. Better yet, the good citizens of Los Angeles should strip him of his uniform for his lack of support for you, his troops. He has betrayed the good officers of your department and the real and legal citizens of Los Angeles. He is a true hack. I almost threw up watching him apologize to the Telemundo creep that was hit with a rubber bullet. Bratton has proven he is not a leader, but instead a true mayoral puppet. How could any of you ever trust him again. For those of you who enjoy putting crooks in jail, please leave Los Angeles to the communist pigs, and move eastward to Riverside and San Bernardino counties. We don't tolerate the crap your city puts you through. Think about it. A slight pay cut, better retirement and you will have support of your good citizens and your leaders. Chief Bratton, shame on you.

Let me get this straight? You want me and my fellow Officers to chase these gang members for you so you can vilify us afterwards? You are a lot less bright than you look el chiefy! Go back to New York, we are sick of you and your weak in the knees way of, what you call leadership. How can we scrub that yellow stripe from your back???
What a clown!!!

All the polls out there have support in the high percentages for police officers. WHy? Because we the intelligent people know better and know that if you've been here for years you should speak English, apply for citizenship and not ask for a free ride. Why isn't the media showing the real videos of officers being assaulted.

I disagree, in this case there are three sides to the story.
1) The Police - we were being violently attacked and a riot was about to break-out story.
2) The Media- We were severly beaten and hurt my the police.
3) And the truth
