The Detective Bureau Community Police Academy II’s second academy class will begin on April 30, 2009, 6:00 p.m., at Olympic Area’s Community Room. The course is six weeks in duration and is open to any community members who have graduated from the Operations-West Bureau’s Community Police Academy. The Detective Bureau Community Police Academy program is designed to inform and educate the community in various areas of “Detective Policing.” This academy will provide insight into how detectives within the Los Angeles Police Department perform their specific duties and how the Department can better serve the community. However, most importantly, it will impart valuable information to members of the community that they would not necessarily have access to during a Bureau sponsored police academy.
The course is coordinated through Detective Support and Vice Division. All interested community members residing in the West Bureau area, should contact Officer Jose “Ricky” Rodriguez or Lieutenant Yana Horvatich at 213-972-2500.
Controlling crimes is really a big task. Advanced countries investigations are always praised in third world countries. It is good step since people feels that corruption is taking place instead of investigation
