San Pedro: The Los Angeles Police Department Harbor Area detectives are requesting the public's assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection to several residential robberies.
On March 3, 2017, around 8:20 a.m., officers responded to a radio call of a robbery in the 900 block of Eastman Place in San Pedro. The victim had just left her home to drop off her child at school when the suspects broke into the victim's home through a rear window.
Ten minutes after the suspects had broken into the home, the victim returned home and was confronted by the suspects inside the home. The suspects overpowered the victim and escaped in a vehicle with money and jewelry.
On April 6, 2016, around 9 a.m., officers spotted a vehicle matching the description of the getaway vehicle used during the robbery. Officers conducted a traffic stop and after a short pursuit, officers placed Deandre Fountain under arrest. Harbor Area detectives continued their investigation and were able to connect Darion Green and Bernard Peoples to the robberies. Detectives placed Darion Green under arrest for robbery and issued an arrest warrant for Bernard Peoples.
The investigation led detectives to believe that these suspects are responsible for a series of residential burglaries and robberies that have occurred in the San Pedro area.
These robbers targeted single family residences, profiling homes believed to be unoccupied, possibly having money, jewelry, and or firearms within the residence. The suspects would then knock on the front door to determine if the residence was occupied. Once they determined no one was at the residence, they would break in through a rear door, or window and would systematically search the location for money, jewelry, and firearms. The crime would take less than ten minutes.
In Custody
Darion, Darion Fountain, Deandre
Felony Warrant Issued
