The victim was identified as Akop Akopyan, a 24-year-old resident of Glendale, CA.
No suspects were seen and the motive for the murder is unknown.
Anyone with information is asked to call Hollywood Division Homicide Detectives at 213-972-2910. On weekends and during off-hours, call the 24-hour toll free number at 1-877-LAWFULL (1-877-529-3855).
Hmmmm, can you say "Armenian Mafia hit"?
I'd notify the Armenian Gang T/F on this one.
Notify Glendale PD while you're at it.

I live next door to his folks. Most people here are Armenian. Some nice, some not so nice. Until they catch who did this ( "Mafia, Gang?"), we are only guessing what happened. I hope we find out the truth when they do find out who did it. Let's hope it will not happen again.

It occurred to me today while looking over the news that this decedent has the same name as a person who recently took a manslaughter plea for a 2000 killing. Maybe Akopyan was killed in a case of mistaken ID by someone carrying out a vendetta.
