Notes from the June 19, 2025 Police Commission Weekly Meeting

•There are 434 recruits in the Academy.  65 recruits began classes this month.

•The Inspector General continues working on the recent complains out of Skid Row, as well as complaints pertaining to the incident at MacArthur Park.  The hiring of a new Assistant Inspector General, Susan Hudson, will help with the workload distribution. 

•The Department's report, relative to the Quarterly Status Report, Third Quarter, Fiscal Year 2006/07, of various audits conducted by the Department, pursuant to the Annual Audit Plan, was approved.

•The Department's report, relative to the Proposed Annual Audit Plan for Fiscal Year 2007/08, pursuant to Paragraph 124 of the Consent Decree, as set forth, was approved.

•The Department's report, relative to a Training Content Audit evaluating the subject matter of the mandated training courses and attendance by sworn Department personnel, pursuant to the Annual Audit Plan, was approved.

•The Executive Director's report, relative to a proposed fee structure for special services provided by the Los Angeles Police Department, was approved.

•The Board of Police Commissioners unanimously approved Chief Bratton's request for reappointment.  Swearing-in will take place on October 25, 2007.

JB, no excuses, but I have been very busy lately. Recently, I've been wearing two hats. Seems someone saw it fit to promote me to Media Relations Section where I will be working as the Department Spokesperson. I am both honored and privileged to hold this assignment. I promise we'll do better in the future.

Operation "Burn a Cop" worked. Congrats on the appoinment.
There will be a time when you, the mayor, the police counsil, and all the liberal, counter productive, activists will have to answer to some one a lot higher than all of you. I hope you have a good story to tell him then.
