1 Dead, 2 Injured in Gang-Related Shooting

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 47-year-old woman dead and two people injured.

The shooting occurred on July 5, 2007, shortly after 1:00 a.m., in the 3400 block of Alice Street in the Cypress Park area.

According to police, all three victims were standing in the driveway when a gunman walked up to them and began shooting.

Lynette Lucero, was fatally shot and two men remain hospitalized where they are expected to recover from their injuries. 

Investigators believe the shooting was over a dispute and gang related.

Police have no suspect description and few leads.

Cypress Park lost an icon- Lynette Lucero "Peppermint patti"

As I recall her as a little girl, an energic, defiant girl, whom like to hang out with the boys!

For those who knew her well, will say Lynette was one of the nicest, coolest person one can meet!

Oh yes, she will be missed dearly by those whose hearts she touched!

All gang members and there families are meant to die or end up in jail..

I'm glad this gang affiliate is dead, and I hope the 2 men that got shot also die, and I hope the person who shot them also gets killed by another gang member.

I think gang members should hurry up and kill each other. I hate those hoodlems who think the streets belong to them.. Die you worthless beings !

Lynette as i sit here thinking about you and how long i have known you it brings sorrow to my heart you were a blessing in my life i remember the day i met you David introducing us to each other and ever since then we were friends i lost a great friend in my life and no one can ever replace that you were so unique so eager to please but so shy about stuff, i remember dancing on the beach under the moon lite and u teaching my son how to dance ohh i miss you cutie patutie i know that You are one of a kind if there were more people like you our world would be a better place i luv you and so do the kids my heart will ache forever but i must go on until we meet again with david introducing us one more time i luv u..
