Los Angeles: Around 12:30 a.m. on February 8, 2009, an alleged domestic violence felony battery involving R & B singer Chris Brown and a woman occurred.

Brown and the woman were in a vehicle on North June street in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles when, according to the victim, they became involved in an argument.  After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated.  The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker.

The Los Angeles Police Department received a 911 call reporting the disturbance.  When officers arrived they found the victim, but Brown had already left the scene.  The LAPD is conducting an investigation into the incident.

I don't understand why someone who is poor and not famous gets to pay as less as a hundred dollors for beating up his wife or girlfriend and if you are famous and or rich you have to post $50,000.00 for alledgly making threats?

What a waste this guy is. This is the kind of stuff he threatened his step father for doing to his mother. Poor Rhianna, I hope she gets rid of him, he won't change.

Tyrone, he bit her several times. Do a little research before you opine. This guy is garbage!

I can't believe Chris did this to Rhianna. Maybe now, he will get the help he needs.

Tyrone....bail amounts have nothing to do with a person's status or income. Criminal Threats is a felony and the pre-set bail is $50,000 while a Battery is a misdemeanor and the bail is much lower.

Everyone is assuming the worst. they think Rihanna had nothing to do with it. She made the car crash(which could have caused injuries). and she was the one that through the first hits. Many men are going to jail for just defending themselves a little bit. Honestly both of them need to be charged. NO MAN OR WOMAN SHOULD HIT ON ANYBODY!!

i know what he did was wrong he is still my fav singer an i surport him all the way and i hope rihanna gets well soon but plz dont send him to jail
