My congratulations :)

Come on o'shea start complaining.

Congratulations to these two fine gentlemen on their promotions. My question is; since they will have much power and influence over the actions and behavior of rank and file LAPD officers, will newly appointed Deputy Chief Albanese and Commander Grier be setting an example by voluntarily signing a Financial Disclosure Form?

Citizen,

Are you going to start complaining? Here are some things to complain about for starters, taken from "Recent Posts." How about complaining about the sexual assault of a female while out running, an 86-year-old woman being beaten to grave condition during a home invasion robbery, a 71-year-old man being stabbed while out collecting recyclables, or a homeless man being hit by a car whose driver left him at roadside to die.

Or is your complaining reserved for your relentless criticism of the police departments of So Cal? Let us know if general inhumanity and depravity impact you like they do the officers who are actually out there doing the job, the people you seemingly disdain the most. I disagree with a lot of O'Shea posts, but at least I've read him express compassion for victims.

As a soon to be ex-gang officer, Leadership by Example couldn't have said it better. I'll enjoy my time back in patrol, but sad to see the city going to hell in a hand basket while IAG and other pogue-trained LAPD officers work in our gang units. I'll sign the disclosure when the Command Staff does!

Kind of funny, that all the promotions for lower ranking working "grunts" have been frozen due to budget issues.

True leadership would be for upper mngt to defer their promotions until the lower ranking positions are filled. However, that would go against the mindset of " I got mine" and "What have you done for me lately?"

The Foothill Area commuunities loved and respected Deputy Chief Kenny Garner and we are so sad about his passing on to an even higher level He will always be remembered and missed very much. His first command position was at our Foothill Area Station where he was very responsive to our community's needs and he made a big impact on morale, quality of life issues and crime reduction in our area.

We were also very happy and fortunate to have had new Deputy Chief Kirk Albanese as our Commanding Officer, plus, new Commander Jeff Greer as our Patrol Captain. You both were also exceptional and we hope that you will continue to be successful, happy and healthy. Congratulations from your CPAB members. It is a pleasure to know you and we enjoyed working with you
