South Los Angeles: A 63-year-old man was stabbed to death near his home in South Los Angeles. Detectives are requesting the public’s help to provide any information that might lead them to the murder suspect.
On Friday February 14, 2014, at 7:00 p.m., a passerby saw Samuel Benton lying on the sidewalk in the 1500 block of East 112th Street. Mr. Benton was suffering from stab wounds and was immediately transported to a local hospital by the Los Angeles Fire Department. Mr. Benton did not respond to emergency medical treatment and died as a result of his injuries.
The motive for this murder is unknown and no suspect(s) were seen leaving the location.
