| WHAT: News Conference WHEN: Wednesday, November 5, 2024 10:00 a.m. WHERE: City Hall Media Room 200 North Spring Street, Room 340 Los Angeles, CA 90012 WHO: Los Angeles City Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell, Council District 13 Detective James Yamada, Northeast Homicide Detective Lisa Governo, Northeast Homicide Family members of the victim WHY: To offer a $50,000 reward for information leading to the identity, arrest and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Carlos Arellano. On August 15, 2014, around 11:25 p.m., Carlos Arellano, a 22 year old male, was walking on the 1500 block of Sunset Blvd with a female companion. Arellano became involved in a dispute with a male Hispanic, approximately 20-23 years old. The verbal dispute escalated into a physical altercation, during which Arellano was stabbed.
