Los Angeles: On Saturday, September 8, 2007, at about 1:00 p.m., Sophia Broussard, 38, was stabbed to death inside her apartment. Her 5-year-old daughter was determined to be missing. An AMBER alert was initiated and an intensive search for her was conducted by the Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff's and the FBI. At about 10:15 p.m., she was located unharmed in Los Angeles County.
27-year-old Damiean Johnson, the boyfriend of Sophia Broussard, was found and arrested for her murder.

I am a childhood frien of the suspect in custody. God bless the soul of Sophia, and God bless my freind as well and God forbid he had anything to do with it. I am saddened by what happened and my prayers go out to Sophia's family as well as my friend.

Sophia's daughter and my son went to the same school. The news of her death has saddened us all. Children are truly the innocent victims when such a brutal act is committed. The separation that is experienced can be overwhelming. My condolences go out to the Broussard family and may her spirit live on.
