San Pedro: The Los Angeles Police Department's Harbor Area detectives are asking for the public's assistance in identifying two robbery suspects. The suspects were caught on surveillance video armed with a shot gun robbing a convenience store.
On Sunday, March 27, 2016, around 2 a.m., two suspects entered a convenience store located in the 1500 block of North Gaffey Street in the city of San Pedro. The suspects approached the store clerk and ordered him to open the cash registers while one the suspects stood by with a shotgun resting on the counter. The second suspect jumped over the counter and took money from both registers as well as merchandise. Both of the suspects then exited the store and fled north on foot.
The store's exterior video cameras captured both suspects running toward the store and exiting the store. Video footage also shows one of the suspects pointing the shotgun at an oncoming vehicle, and then running out of camera view.
The first suspect is described as a male Black, approximately 25-years-old. He is approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds. He was captured on video wearing a grey beanie, black hooded sweatshirt, white t-shirt, white gloves, white & black basketball shorts and black sneakers.
The second suspect is described as a male Black, approximately 22-years-old. He is approximately 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweater, dark gloves, black pants and black & white sneakers.
