At this time and always, it brings great solace to members of the LAFD to know they are surrounded and supported by the thin blue line.

Fraternally Yours in Safety and Service,

Brian Humphrey
Firefighter/Specialist
Public Service Officer
Los Angeles Fire Department

As an LAPD officer who attended Officer Simmons funeral and the procession, I would like to express my deepest sympathy and sorrow for the loss of one of LAFD's finest. I will ALWAYS remember the funeral procession as every intersection was blocked by LAFD personell who stood at attention during the hour long precession. I was impressed and honored by their presence and show of respect. I hope LAPD managment supports LAFD like they did for us during our time of need. I hope managment will let LAPD officers return the favor and let us block the intersections for our brothers and sisters in LAFD. Again, thank you for your support in our time of need and my deepest sympathy for your (our)loss.
-P
